Charleen Tupper MA CEC
I have a passion to support leaders and individuals to fully step into their authenticity, use their strengths, and generate greater wellness for themselves. I'm foremost a leadership and lifestyle coach, as well as a people development strategist to organisations.
I bring a 15+ year track record as a successful coach and change catalyst for organizations that want to build internal capacity for leadership, change, and learning. I use an integral approach which draws upon wisdom of mind, body, and soul to understand change, personal performance, and lifestyle design. My distinctive approach focuses on strategies to generate greater energy, and breakthrough limiting beliefs, rituals/behaviours to free up your capacity to serve.
Health and wellness are the foundation of my approach to personal and professional performance as I've discovered it as been key to my own work/life performance. Having traveled my own journey to wellness ups/downs, in 2009, I made some lifestyle choices, like clean eating and intensity training (bootcamp), I lost over 50lbs. I increased my energy tenfold, and completed two half marathons.
I KNOW what it's like to experience feeling stuck, self loathing, emptiness, and yet striving to be the best version of yourself, dream big and seek a joyful life. As a result, I find clients that are at a life/career transition point particularly attracted to my coaching services.
I've worked in a variety of sectors in Canada and Internationally, including the Federal and provincial governments, the B.C. Public Service Agency, Health, Food/Support Services, Forestry, Finance, Social Services, Education, Retail, and the B.C. Office of the Auditor General. A list of selected clients are here.
I also work at the organisational level to help them develop, engage, and best utilise the talent within. I have served as a trusted strategic advisor for business and organizational transformation, talent management and retention programs, reorganization, and downsizing. I've also conducted various organizational and program audits/evaluations, and provided successful strategies to support capacity development, resiliency, employee engagement, health & wellness, and leadership development.
I'm the author of Expressive Arts-Based Learning for Leadership Development (2008), Associate Faculty for Royal Roads University in the MA Leadership and MBA programs, and advanced facilitator. I hold a Masters in Leadership (Organizational Behaviour), a BA in Communications, and a Certified Executive Coach (via an ICF accredited University).
I have received leadership and innovation awards from the public service (federal and provincial), and communications planning from the International Association of Business Communicators.
Education/Training I'm currently recieving mentoring in areas of body/somatic intelligence to help leaders foster inspirational leadership qualities, authentic presence, voice, expressiveness, the ability to respond skillfully to conflict and stressful situations.
